I ordered this ribbon to replace the very worn out ribbon in a Royal KMM standard typewriter made in 1948. I spooled it onto the metal spools that were still in the typewriter, taking the old ribbon off. Note that this type of machine does not use the grommets to trigger the automatic ribbon reverse, so I had to cut a few inches off each end. Otherwise, the grommet sticks in the agitator before the ribbon reverses. It was not a problem as the ribbon is quite long and a few inches does not make much difference.
Having typed maybe 10 pages so far, the ribbon makes a good impression on the paper.
